Hot Springs and Sushi

Today I went to the hot springs A hot springs are outdoor hot tubs. Before the hot springs we got to go into the special room. It was a bit like a hotel room was no bed. There was a TV. There was tea on a low table with cushions around it. It was a traditional Japanese table. You could take off her shoes before we entered the room. There were slippers for us to use. We put our things in this room and then went to the Hot Springs "Onsen".

Men and women were separate so there are 2 doors.

And we had to take a shower sitting down so you don't splash. Then we put our towel on our heads to keep warm because the hot spring is outside. It was an indoor hot springs too. But the one outdoors was warmer water. There was one just for kids too.  That one wasn't as hot.

People always have a drink after the Hot Springs. So my sister and I had a melon soda float. And then we went back up to the ground and had tea. And more sweets. They tasted a little bit like S'mores.

After the hot springs I went out to a fancy dinner and had a delicious sushi. I had one piece of sushi  that had fish eggs on top! And it was surprisingly really good!

Here is my place card from the dinner. That's my name in Japanese.
